In many ways I like that idea but imagine if the cajuns finished 5th or 6th in this seasons conference but went on a run to get into the NCAA tournament. Based on this criteria, they never would have had that opportunity. That's kind of the allure of the tournament. It will award Cinderella teams as well.In fact, I'm curious to know our finishing position in league play in past years tournament teams.
Re: Protecting the One Seed
All you have to do here is flip the men's and women's quarterfinals.
Play the women's first round and quarterfinals on Tues/Wed. Play the men's 1st round and quarterfinals on Thurs/Fri. Problem solved. This is not complicated.
Re: Protecting the One Seed
I truly believe we will lose in the SBC Tourney.... the basketball gods have never really been good to us even though this is our best team ever in the modern era I keep having this feeling of us getting punched in the gut.... I really believe we will win today but if we play UTA I really hate that match up.
Re: Protecting the One Seed
Too bad we can't guarantee the regular season champ the NCAA berth and have the tourney for the NIT slot. LOL
Re: Protecting the One Seed
We are winning this tournament and going to the NCAA. Banish all these negative thoughts.

My truck's fueled up and ready to hit the road early tomorrow morning.

You tournament lovers better enjoy this one. Got a pretty good feeling this will be the last SBC conference tourney you'll see for a while.
