New UL QBs will get opportunity to play right away
High school signees Lewis, Harrison will have summer to prove themselves.
Now that he is finally free to talk about them, UL coach Mark Hudspeth has made it known that both of his 2017 high school quarterback signees – Levi Lewis and Kadon Harrison – will get a chance to show they deserve playing time in the season to come.

If JD isn't the starter, you'll have a story.

Be Hud...constantly see passing as a pointless endeavor that you can only do when rolling out or when you don't have Elijah McGuire running up the middle into a mound of fat, out of shape linemen. Be Jordan Davis...transfer.

Wouldn't it be ironic, that the most maligned QB(by Hud) on the roster the last couple of years might be the one to pull Hud's junk out of the fire.
With the raw talent that young man has, if he is serious and Coach Hall is able to get his mind right, he could turn out a lot like Blaine G.

Can't teach poise. Can't teach accuracy.
But I hope you're right, for the sake of our future..

So.....What about Jake?
Hud completely dismissed his opportunity to play. If Davis and Ray are not the answer, is Jake that bad?
Seriously, what gives?
Re: New UL QBs will get opportunity to play right away
Regardless of talent level, Jake is a quarterback's quarterback. He's not an athlete playing the quarterback position.
In short, he won't play here because of the coach's preference of offense.

No WE can't teach those things.
But experience can deliver poise, and coaching can improve accuracy. Unfortunately we wasted chances to get him the first, and I'm not sure we are capable of the second.

Which makes you wonder, why we signed him.
