They seemed to be a bit off this game. Have to wonder if Hardy isn't so hot from 3 point land what the outcome would have been. Hopefully it was just and in state rival being tougher than expected.

Game was tough because of ULM controlling tempo and making it a half court game. You are correct in that the opponent was also very motivated for the game. Winning when opponent controls tempo is difficult and the result may not be being appreciated enough by some.

ULM ran some zones that have not used all year long, so the team did not prepare for the 1-3-1 specifically. It is hard to scout a team if they change their defense for your game. Either way this team found a way to win and did not disappoint us against ULM.

You are correct in that ULM's zone gave us problems. I credit that to good coaching. ULM is lucky to have Coach Richard. He always does a good job and brings in better talent than most think he could through his JC contacts. They still have not lost at home in quite a while. It will always be a battle with the WarHawks as long as he is there.

I agree regarding Coach Richard. He is a very good coach. Had some solid La Tech teams. It took him a while to turn ULM around due to some serious issues, but putting up back to back 20 win season coming off APR sanctions there is an accomplishment
