Well, they will head into the 2017 season with a full head of steam and with a team more than capable of getting to Omaha with a chance at the program’s first national title. The Cajuns will be loaded on the mound with the return of outstanding sophomore pitchers Nick Lee and Hogan Harris, while Dylan Moore, one of the nation’s elite relievers, returns to the back-end of the bullpen to give the Cajuns a true stopper. Wyatt Marks and Evan Guillory are other key arms back in the mix, while offensively, replacing Stefan Trosclair, Nick Thurman and Kyle Clement will be difficult, but the Cajuns return enough at the plate in Brenn Conrad, Alex Pinero, Joe Robbins and others. The pitching is there to do some big things, but how this offense develops between now and next spring is key.
