Planetary scientists have calculated that there are hundreds of billions of Earth-like planets in our galaxy which might support life, by applying a 200 year old idea to the thousands of exo-planets discovered by the Kepler space telescope.<img src="//feeds.feedburner.com/~r/sciencedaily/~4/gb3j021qcTQ" height="1" width="1" alt=""/>
