The NCAA’s decision Tuesday to deny the appeal of an earlier denial of a waiver request that would have allowed Sun Belt Conference-champion Georgia Southern to become bowl-eligible this postseason clears the way for UL’s widely expected invitation to the Dec. 20 New Orleans Bowl to be formalized soon.
