Uber has ‘taken disciplinary actions’ against general manager for privacy violations

Earlier this month Uber got itself into hot water for a variety of items, one of which involved using the company’s God View tool to spy on riders —_including a journalist_— without their consent. According to Slate, Uber has finished its investigation into New York City general manager Josh Mohrer for spying on BuzzFeed journalist Johana Bhuiyan’s ride history. The company told Slate it has_“taken disciplinary actions” against the executive. The Uber spokesperson wouldn’t elaborate to Slate about what the disciplinary action actually involved.
