OK!!!!!!! Well, it's best that we play to avoid injuries and whatever happens, happens.

Looks like the SU coaches and media have just offered up the injury excuse! As you said, this probably means a UL win. I also like how Richardson was laying the groundwork for the "lack of quality depth" excuse. Now your players have multiple reasons for getting blown out.

Many coaches get out the crying towel prior to the season opener. Maybe they hope the opposition will take them lightly because of injuries? After the Mcneese fiasco, I do not think that will happen. Whether they win or lose, the Cajuns should be fired up. In the article, it sounds like all of the linemen may play, (at most one guy may be out) so it does not sound like a big deal.

Sounds like all of the "Southern will bring 20,000 fans" hype has no substance. Still haven't sold all of a 6,000 ticket allotment. Still, a historically significant opener could draw 24,000 Cajuns fans. Add that to the 6,000 SU fans from BR and another 1,000 SU fans in the Acadiana area and Houston and you get a capacity crowd and a few grass-stained butts. Sounds like fun. Wish I could be there.

They will bring more than 6000, guaranteed. Just because you heard they didnt buy their allotment doesnt mean that they havent bought tickets. Many of their fans could easily buy tickets from ticketmaster or at the cajundome box office. I have heard of quite a few people coming that will be supporting SU. Not to mention that most others with more inside knowledge have said that they are definitely bringing quite a few fans. The ticket allotment argument doesnt work.

Or trying to lull you guys to sleep.;)
Shouldn't work...Coach Bustle is already on record as SU having a "great football team".
The Cajuns in a walk or maybe even a in a walk-over.
Best of luck to both teams!

Since ULL joined the league, its largest home crowd is 33,828 against McNeese State in 2007. That, too is a record for a Sun Belt home game.
Incorrect. That would be 38,783 for aTm. Since becoming UL, maybe, but UL joined the Belt in '91.

Actually it is correct, I believe. Our first year of Sun Belt football was 2001. In 96, we were independent, a year removed from being in the Big West. Other sports joined earlier though.

You guys are worried about the wrong thing. Don't get caught slipping while trying to look over to Kansas State.
