Today, ZDNet reported that Microsoft is planning to deliver a “technology preview” of its upcoming major Windows release codenamed_“Threshold” by late September or early October. Windows Threshold is likely to be marketed as Windows 9 will be released as a public preview for anyone who are interested by end of this year. This Windows 9 tech preview will receive subsequent monthly updates and it will be installed on the users automatically. Microsoft is planning to release a technical preview of Windows 9 (threshold) in late September or early October to anyone interested. This is similar to what Microsoft did with Windows 8. Getting software into the hands of customers enables Microsoft to make tweaks to the operating system before releasing it publicly.
