Alibaba buys UC Web in a deal that values the browser-maker at over $1.9 billion
Another big Alibaba deal: the e-commerce giant has swallowed up the whole of UC Web. Financial terms are not disclosed, but internal letters reveal that the deal values UC Web at far more than the $1.9 billion that Baidu bought 91 Wireless for. The two firms call it the “biggest deal in history.” UC Web will be fully integrated into Alibaba once the deal is complete.
