Ragin' Cajuns in Big Easy means big bucks for program
UL’s goal last year was not to paint the town red, but to “Paint the Quarter Red.” The Cajuns did that in a big way, and not just with the pulsating 32-30 last-play win over San Diego State in the R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl.

Especially when the Football program brings in just under 1,000,000 dollars from playing in the bowl game. Just 4 weeks later, the President of the University is then able to cut 1,000,000 dollars in state funds from the Athletic budget to place into the general fund of the University.

That happens this year, there might be folks showing up at Martin Hall with pitch forks and torches... Not me, of course... ;)
