Re: Current recruiting...
Gradnigo is the perfect shooting guard and is being highly recruited. If what I heard is true, then LSU is out of the picture. I do not know who he is leaning towrds. Oh, I live in Lake Charles and have been watching him since he was a sophomore. The Lake Charles area has plenty of kids that will be playing basketball at the nexy level. See ya at the dome.
Re: Current recruiting...
I just got word from a reliable source that Gradnigo is leaning towards UL. He would be a great student-athlete. Good luck coach Lee. See ya'll in the Dome!

Good call, it seems that he committed to the Cajuns today. It seems Coach Lee is trying to build a program here with good quality kids and Gradnigo seems to fit the mold.
Re: Current recruiting...
Any word on if we are close to or have already signed any true point guards? I know they are really rare in the mid majors.

From the Delphi Board:
From: BOP4111 2:47 pm

The Cajuns have gotten a commitment from Chris Grandigo, 6-6, 200 small forward from LaGrange HS in Lake Charles by way of St. Louis.
Grandigo made official visits to Arkansas and Notre Dame. He turned down visitation offers from Oklahoma State, Cincinnati and LSU.
He is fully qualified academically.
This might be our biggest HS signee since Kevin Brooks.

This is the kind of news that's going to make the 2006-07 season more bearable.
Re: Current recruiting...
I know that this will be a rough year for boys basketball because of the youth, but we will get to see the future potential of the first Lee class that he had the neccessary time to recruit. Basketball recruiting and potential projecting is second only to baseball. And probably harder to get the best to sign with you.

Re: Current recruiting...
To me the thing about Basketball is that you never know what your going to get. Pretty talented senior team last year and its like they never really meshed. Hopefully these young guys come in here with a chip on there shoulder and play as a team and you never know they might suprise all of us hopefully, but I can tell you this much, in the next few years it should be fun with the talent that is coming in. All La starting five when Deas graduates.
