There's been a lot of conversation this week about UL coach Alyson Habetz's animated postgame interview after her Ragin' Cajuns suffered a humbling 8-0 no-hitter defeat to LSU.

She was angry, embarrassed, and, frankly, tired of losing.

When you play in front of a packed house at Lamson Park, there's really not a lot of other ways to react.

A lot has happened to UL junior left-handed pitcher Ty Roman since the fall season.

It was the first time UL was no-hit since Cheridan Hawkins of Oregon did it — ironically by the same 8-0 score in five innings — on April 24, 2015, at Oregon.

"Today was more like, I felt like a pity party ... poor, pitiful me," UL coach Alyson Habetz said. "The umpires not giving me the calls, whatever. There are no excuses. You go out there and you fight, and you play, and you play hard. That's it, period."

UL's series win over nationally ranked Southern Mississippi last weekend didn't solve all of the issues plaguing the Ragin' Cajuns this season.

But it was a timely, welcomed relief from losing six of eight games — and some in scary fashion.
